At Oregon Trout, we fix rivers. A lot of our restoration work has immediate effect (think restoring flow to a dry channel). Much of it has effects better evaluated years or even decades later (think planting streamside trees). All of it has a ripple effect over time that helps boost freshwater ecosystems, preparing them for the future pressures of population growth and climate change.
Our challenge today? We need to fix these rivers faster. We have developed a system called StreamBank to dramatically increase the scale and pace of restoration statewide. For the 2008 auction paddle raise, we hope to raise $100,000 for StreamBank. If you can’t make it to the benefit on February 23, you can raise your online paddle to support StreamBank development.
We invite you to participate in 2008 by donating goods or services. Without these donations, our event would not be possible.
